There was a positive feeling amongst exhibitors at the recent Southampton International Boat Show, and although visitor numbers fell slightly to 118,000, the general comment was that enquiries and business were up.
Wales Watersports took a 28m2 stand in a prominent location at the main entrance to the show and were joined on stand by Tiger Bay Training, All Points West, Plas Menai, Cardiff Harbour Authority, North Wales Watersports, Milford Haven Port Authority and the River Teifi Project, a further 15 businesses opted to take brochure representation on the stand. Wales Watersports hosted a press reception on stand on the first Friday of the show which was attended by around 10 journalists and trade partners from around Wales, a further reception hosted by the stand partners for show visitors was held on the final Saturday of the show, which attracted a large number of visitors to the stand.
